Ambulance Workers Retirement Age Survey

The joint union ambulance retirement age survey has now gone out by email and text to all ambulance members – excluding Scotland and London.

Currently, members of the 1995 and 2008 NHS pension schemes can take their full NHS pension at ages 60 or 65. Members of the 2015 pension scheme can only take a full pension at their state retirement age, which in some circumstances may be up to 68 years of age.

GMB has long been campaigning for a lower retirement age for ambulance workers in line with other emergency service workers in the Police and Fire services. In order to assist in this campaign and help us gather more detailed data on the impacts of the current NHS pension arrangements for ambulance workers, we need you to complete your short survey as emailed & texted out to you.

Thank you
